Update your Identity Document and/or biometric information before February 24, 2025

    According to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN, Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank of Vietnam, starting from January 1, 2025, account holders and debit/credit cardholders who have not completed updating their expired/ invalid Identity Document (ID) and biometric information registration with United Overseas Bank (Vietnam) Limited (“UOB Vietnam” or the “Bank”), will have their payment transactions, withdrawals, and card transactions on all channels suspended.
    To comply with regulations and to ensure your account and debit/ or credit card transactions are not interrupted, we would like to require your prompt assistance in updating expired/ invalid ID and registering biometric information with us before February 24, 2025, following below instructions:

    UOB Vietnam has provided the biometric authentication application - UOB BioSmart ID on Google Play/ App Store for online registration. The step-bystep guide of the app can be viewed at go.oub.com/BioID.

    Additionally, from February 20, 2025, to March 14, 2025, you can receive our exclusive offers when you complete updating your information.

    If you have not completed updating ID and/ or registering biometric information, the following services on your account(s) and/ or credit card(s) will be suspended based on each specific case:

    In addition, to implement Circular 50/2024/TT-NHNN, we would like to annouce the online transaction limits on the payment accounts via internet and mobile banking starting from February 03, 2025, as follows:

    These limits will remain in effect until UOB Vietnam fully integrates biometric technology into the bank's online transaction systems, expected by Q2/2025.

    During this period, you can still conduct transactions exceeding the maximum daily limit at UOBV branches.
    Notice:
    • To avoid risk, fraud, and scams, please DO NOT update your biometric information via any other website or application except the UOB BioSmart ID provided by UOB Vietnam.
    • UOB Vietnam DOES NOT require you to provide OTP, password, card number, security code,... during the process of updating biometric information and/ or update your identity Document.
    • UOB Vietnam DOES NOT require you to provide OTP, password, card number, security code,... via phone call or via link.
